I find this video and song irritating for several reasons:
1) Why not just name it “In The Air.” Why “ayer?” I kept thinking with my Bla-Tino ass that it was going to have spanish in it? Mariachis all that!
2) What’s up with the bank tellers? I mean really?
3) We are really going to walk into a bank dressed in blank with black gym bags and not get the pissed beat out of us are we Flo-Rida????
4) Tellers just walking away when cats are waiting (even AFTER seeing the gym bags) to get their welfare checks cashed? I know in Renton, Washington that would’ve caused a riot.
5) WHY does this mess sound like a remixed version of “Low?”
I won’t front. It’s going on my MP3 player though. What? I got my man’s ten year high school reunion to go to in July and I’ve got some skimpy little numbers to squeeze into. No mud-duckin’ here…
I don’t know enough about the guy to even write a synopsis. I don’t even know who this cat is, matter of fact. According to what his people sent, he is signed to Ruff Ryders (like that means shit anymore) and he’s out of L.A. He’s also supposed to be part of some super group with Cassidy, Ar.ab and Larceny (who are the last two?). Here’s his track “Paper Plates” for your review.
I can’t stand it. It makes no sense to me. Maybe it’s because I’m a bit of a square? Regardless of that, the song is like my man Bol would say “teh gheyness.” No biter.
I’m out here in the West and I’ve heard my fair share of West Coast rap. That’s all these Northwest cats was boppin’ to because cats out here sometime dick ride way too hard for Californ-eye-A. No homo.* This does NOT sound like rap from any self-respecting or even skilled rapper out of LA-LA Land. This sounds like someone who listened to Rocko’s CRAPPY ass “Self-Made” album way too many times. If you don’t hear the similarities then you’re deaf…
Then again Rocko just went ahead and swagger-jacked Jeezy’s flow ANYWAY so it doesn’t really matter. They both suck harder than a Hoover.
You be the judge: Click here to listen to “Paper Plates” by Kartoon.
* I am on a mission to say “no homo” as much as I possibly can… What? It’s funny to me that grown men are so insecure in their sexuality that they have to say “no homo” all the time…
Thanks to DUBMD for this. It’s nothing personal…
Dear Solange,
Please take out Rihanna and her stank ass attitude.
Thanks much babe,
Seattle Slim
Real talk, I know a lot of other black blogs are going to chat shit but honestly, I like this song and this video. I know this is strange, but maybe it was that “D” my man flung my way earlier tonight. Regardless, the video is hot and I would actually jam to this song at a house party or whatever.
Number one this videois funny as hell. If you’ve heard the song before, you probably have the Jackass sequel soundtrack.
Word up I wish I would’ve heard this song when I met my boo-boo. I woulda been like “What else is in the teaches of Peaches? Like sex on the beaches… Huh? What? Let’s f*ck the pain away, papi!” I woulda watched those boxers drop. What’s crazy is she used to be a music teacher. Good lawd, our scholars are some freaks. Look her up on Wikipedia ’cause I’m too lazy to find it for ya!

If you like dance music or just have an open mind to different genres, I highly recommend checking out this badass remix to Young MC’s classic “Bust A Move.” I was skeptical at first but this right here is modern ish. This is off the Delicious Vinyl RMXXOLOGY album which features remixes by EMINEM, Fatlip, Peaches and the Brand New Heavies to name a few.
And DO THE RIGHT THING! If you like it, buy it! Click here to buy!
Thanks to Michelle at Audible Treats for this!
I actually didn’t realize I have heard this song already on C89.5 FM out here in Seattle! Shout outs to C89.5 for being a down ass radio station and playing some good music of the trance/dance/house kind. I’ve been a fan of theirs since I got to the States in 1992. You can check them out online as well so do that. It’s run by high school kids who do not get paid.
Back to the song, thanks to Cicana for sending me this song for you guys’ pleasure. If you like it, go COP the album, man!!!

This song already has like over 4,000 downloads already. I JUST got it today and it’s pretty hot.
Brand new exclusive remix of Prodigy’s smash hit single “The Life” produced by The Alchemist. The remix features Starcore Entertainment CEO Fred Knuxx from his up coming new mixtape “The King Of Grind” dropping this month!
Prodigy Featuring Fred Knuxx \"The Life\" Remix
By the way, this is the new look. I’m gonna get your iPod right OR we might dash someone’s dreams if their music sucks.
Thanks to DubMD and Starcore for sending this over!
If you’re checking for new music for your MP3 player, check out this new track by Donny Goines!

I dunno! The jury is still out on this for me. I’m not a fan of him using “n*gga” all the damned time at all. I’m trying to figure out if I would trash this or put it on the Mp3 player for workout purposes only. I really like a song if I play it in the Jeep loudly. That’s like reaching big time LOL. What do you think?
Shouts out to Tha Talk of the Town! Get at them for more info about Ambassador Rick!
I love getting music to showcase in my inbox!!! So I got this from Jive Records via Andrew (thanks for the hookup man!) and I want to see what YOU ALL think!!!
It’s called “Stilettos” by Lee Carr and it’s produced by Los. If you don’t know who that is, he produced The Dream’s “Shawty is a Ten” and J. Holiday’s “Bed.” You will definitely remember “Shawty is a Ten” when you hear this. It’s actually pretty damned similiar. But anywho, it’s a cute song. Not something that I would rock in my Jeep but it might get me to standing up a little with my man at the club. I’m not a huge fan of materialism…sorry!
What do you think? CHECK IT OUT!!!
Shout outs to the cats at WSHH for sending this!
Here’s a video by this rapper chick Nina B. featuring Madonna. It’s unofficial and I hope that Madonna doesn’t sue her ass but I digress.
The lyrics aren’t terribly complicated and they leave much to be desired but the shit is catchy! SUE me will ya?!?! At least it’s not a Khia or Trina track!
Check out the video here:
What do you think? Hate it or love it?
Check out these two new tracks by Donny Goines. It’s good to see that rap hasn’t completely gone to shit. I have hope thanks to real mc’s doing their thing!

Click here to listen to “The Light”
Check out the homey Donny Goines spitting a hot 16 bars as soon as he writes them!
