When I think of the queen Mary J. Blige and her evolution, the vision of her in this video ALWAYS pops up. This video was ahead of its time. Actually the video is TIMELESS as hell. Now Method Man isn’t Common or whatever, but what rap you hear these days where the brother is talking about being there for his girl like this?
I was like 12-13 years old when this video came out and mad sheltered but when these cats start singing “you’re all that I need I’ll be there for you…” I wanted to hide them from the cops too. And Mr. Meth was oh so fine in this here video! Check it out!
