Rapper Eve was spotted out and about in West Hollywood yesterday, wearing her Cartier shades. Nice look, but something about her hair is sending me ill vibes. Is the wig on straight?

Eve did an interesting interview with Entertainment Weekly about her album being pushed back and the musical landscape right now. She broached the topic of artists like Fergie and Gwen Stefani coming in and making things hard for PEOPLE WHO CAN ACTUALLY RAP female MCs.
Has the success of artists like Fergie and Gwen Stefani made it harder for female rappers because they’ve come in and created a new, pop-friendly mix of pop, hip-hop, and R&B sounds?
I think what makes that hard for us is that they’re not hip-hop, period. I’ll never, ever be able to give Fergie or Gwen that title. I love them. I think they’re dope. I think they make good music. But they’re not hip-hop. They emulate hip-hop in certain things that they do, but they’re not hip-hop. And I think that hurts hip-hop in a way because it’s confusing the lines. I also must admit that hip-hop is the new pop. Like hip-hop five years ago, Soulja Boy couldn’t get played on the same station that Fergie was playing on or that the Black Eyed Peas were playing on or that Justin was playing on. Or Justin couldn’t be on an urban station five years ago. But now, all the lines have blurred. But at the same time, calling Fergie and Gwen hip-hop hurts females, I think. It hurts the female MCs.
Don’t even get me started on that. Gwen is cool but Fergie is nothing but a female Vanilla Ice. She straight swagger-jacked J.J. Fad! Thievin’ ass b*tch……

Yet another single has leaked from Eve’s upcoming November album. This one’s title “On The Dancefloor” featuring Mashonda. I naturally assumed that it was produced by Swizz Beatz as Mashonda is his wife and all and of course you can here him yelling over the track as usual.
This song is whatever. Nothing spectacular; nothing remarkable. I mean what is there to say about a song EVERYONE does? Boy sees girl in club. Chemistry ensues. What next? *slow clap* If this formula really worked then why do the single cats usually leave single when they leave the club? I’m just saying. You be the judge.

So as I was entertaining my ill self on the internet I came across The Rap Up and noticed they had some cool stuff on there! Anyway, they had the long awaited (at least for me anyway) next single off of Eve’s upcoming album. The song is…ummm…cute. Cute in the sense that it’s unremarkable, just cute. But by now you cats know the drill with me. So YOU be the judge.

Solange showed up to the BET Awards looking extra “special.” If her sister’s dress was supposed to be “chastity”, this dress is “whore.” Doesn’t she just look like she does shit to piss of her parents?
I had to put this in here because this is Big Shan from Doggy’s Angels. Snoop Dogg tried to form a rap female super group back in the early nineties and failed horribly they sucked. Here she is a decade later. It’s obvious she is only there because she is his weed holder.
Rev. Al Simpleton Sharpton brought his hooker…oh wait. Sorry! That’s rapper Eve in a really crappy blonde wig and a dress special ordered out of Frederick’s Of Hollywood (the lingerie department). HOT ASS MESS!

Here are pics from Eve’s video “Tambourine.” She looks absolutely fab, but then again it’s very rare that she doesn’t. When she comes with a video, she comes correct. Not bad for dodging a DUI charge huh? I can’t wait to see the end product. What do you guys think?
