Alicia Keys has won the lead role of Lena Horne in an upcoming biopic backed by Oprah Winfrey. Janet Jackson was originally {WTF???<--Slim} picked for the role but was cut after her Superbowl “Nipplegate” antics. Sources say Janet was “devastated” when she was fired, as she had been vying for that role for some time.

OH WELL!!! Janet Jackson should let this be a lesson. Not acting your age and trying to be like these young birds will only get you so far. Lately it hasn’t gotten her very far at all with her albums failing. Alicia Keys is a good look!

Alicia Keys and Kylie Minogue both performed at the Nobel Prize concert last night and looked stunning! Bad broads indeed!

Ms. Keys went hard on Good Morning America this morning when she performed live. And that outfit is the truth!

I am not a Chris Brown fan but he killed it last night at the VMAs. The boy danced his heart out and delivered. One of the FEW good performances of the night.

Literally! But she does look EXTRA CLASSY! I see that the trend is going to be tube dresses so far. I love how great she looks but THAT MUCH BRONZER? My right eye is flashing but for the most part I’ll give her a two thumbs up. Just lay off the bronzer next time would be my advice!

Attention Alicia Keys fans! You may only have a little over four months to wait before another Alicia album drops! According to Billboard.com, Ms. Keys has penciled in a release date of October 23rd with her label J Records.

She’ll be working with the renowned Linda Perry on this album. If you saw her performance with Keith Urban at Live Earth over the weekend, you can expect more of that soulful funk/rock vibe she showed off on the album. You can also expect some cool cameos like Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry. Oh be still my weary heart!
